Below is our privacy policy which incorporates these goals:
It is Evangelical United Methodist Church’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our websites.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Like most website operators, Evangelical UMC collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Evangelical UMC’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Evangelical’s visitors use its website. From time to time, Evangelical UMC may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.
Evangelical UMC only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below, except that blog commenter IP addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog where the comment was left.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
