Daylight Saving Time ends early on Sunday morning, November 7. Please set your clocks back one hour before going to bed on Saturday, November 6.
Starting Sunday, November 7, Pastor Andrew will start a sermon series focused on giving. We will look at challenging passages of scripture where Jesus speaks to money and our material stuff and our relationship with both. The image for the sermon series of planting seeds in faith. In the parable of the sower, what is sown in faith, and on receptive soil can, can yield a hundredfold back. How is God calling us to use our money and possessions to sow in faith and grow closer to God?
Due to a family issue, the Rev. Karen Atanasoff, is canceling tonight’s Charge Conference. Sorry for the late notice. We will reschedule the conference for a future date. Please be on the look out for a new time and date.
Pastor Andrew’s fall Bible Study is focused on the minor prophets. The minor prophets are twelve prophetic books in the Bible. The designation “minor” is for the length of the books not their significance. The Bible Study will be via Zoom on Monday nights at 7 PM. Everyone is welcome to join. Contact us for a link. The Bishop of the Susquehanna Conference, Bishop Park, sent out a letter last week encouraging churches in our conference to take seriously the delta variant of COVID-19. Our reopening taskforce discussed via email our current practices. For now, we are requesting that everyone who uses our facility wear a mask regardless of vaccination status. When preaching or leading worship, the mask may be removed so others can hear clearly the leader.
